Demo Day on March 1st 2024
The Protoype Fund invites you to the Demo Day on 1 March 2024 at bUm in Berlin-Kreuzberg.
At our Demo Day, the projects of the 14th funding round will present the results of their work and how they got there in presentations, panel discussions and live demos. During the six-month funding period, the developers dealt with a wide variety of technological and social issues: Post-quantum security, the playful exploration of Git, a better prediction of train punctuality or the control of motors via Ethernet, there is almost nothing that does not exist. Now the time to showcase and celebrate this work has come!
In addition to the project presentations, guests can look forward to a keynote speech by Peter Steudtner, Holistic Security trainer at the Digital Defenders Partnership and the Holistic Protection Collective, among others. He is an author for various human rights initiatives (https://holistic-security.org, https://digitalfirstaid.org/, https://coping-with-prison.org) and was arrested on false terrorism charges in Turkey in 2017 during a Holistic Security training together with nine other human rights activists and detained for four months. In his keynote speech “Digital Resistance – Care is Resilience”, he shows various dimensions of digital resistance: whether in supporting migrants, in artistic awareness countering populism and right-wing extremism, in counter hacking, legal disputes with multinational platforms, or the use of open source software for more sustainability.
As always, there will also be plenty of time to chat with the funded projects and the audience, as well as delicious catering!
Attention: To participate in the Demo Day, please register by 28 February by sending an email with your first and last name to . The registration is free. We look forward to seeing you!
